Swami Vivekananda told a story of a poor woodcutter. The woodcutter once heard a divine voice say, “Go forward, and you shall find.”
He walked a little into the forest and found copper. Delighted with his new wealth, he stopped his search.
After some time, the voice called again, “Go forward.”
This time he went deeper and found silver. He felt completely satisfied and settled there.
But the voice returned once more: “Go forward.”
Trusting the call, he walked far into the forest and discovered gold and diamonds waiting for him.
Vivekananda said this story teaches us to never stop striving.
Spiritual life is a journey of moving forward again and again.
Small successes are like copper or silver — useful, but not the goal.
The greatest treasure lies deeper within us.
We must keep going, with faith and effort, until we reach the gold of God realization.
